I am about to do a personal guide for a friend of mine who doesn't know Paris as well as me, and your series has given me new inspiration. I love Lafayette but also praise the cafe ceiling in Printemps just down the road, which is another fine example of the time. My loyalty still goes to Au Bon Marche though, just because it was the first department store (according to many sources) and still has a great food hall.

Now, where am I going to take an attractive girl for pre dinner drinks before supper and jazz..? Can you recommend?
